VII Matrix Canonical Structure Toolbox ∗

Degenerate canonical structures are common in many applications. Software tools to determine canonical information are therefore important for understanding the behavior of these problems. Since computing the canonical structure is an ill-posed problem, information such as the distance to nearby canonical structures are often equally important. Work has started to develop a MatlabTM toolbox for matrix canonical structures using both well-known robust algorithms as well as improved and newly developed algorithms.
